Someone who has knowledge of fire departments?

Almost 2 weeks ago I was arrested for 2 pretty serious charges and now I am considering joining a firehouse as a volunteer. I am under 18 and got the application today and was wondering how much this arrest will affect my chances of getting into the firehouse. The charges were not for arson, one was for having a fake id and the other was a possession charge. Anyone have any idea if I even have a shot of getting in?
