Please help me in the analysis and theme of the poem "the explanation" by rudyard kipling.?

This poem is talking about the unfortunate randomness of who death touches and who love touches. Kipling compares it to love and death playing a game of archery and just seeing who they hit. Kipling talks about each arrow being "the loves and lives of men" that love and death are playing a fateful game with. He ends asking about the injustice of old men loving and young dying.
