What do you do when your boyfriend complains about everything?

My boyfriend and I have been together for a year and a half. We live together and have a good relationship to the point where he is my best friend. But his personality is very hotheaded and he is groaning and complaining about every little thing! I clean twice a day, the laundry, ect. The only thing he does is cook because I suck at it. He never appreciates a thing I do around here and I feel so stuck because I love him very much, but I feel so unappreciated. I know I can find a guy who will, but I just need some advice. Can anyone help?
